VFX Artist Openings (Full-time or Part-time)
Vortex Games is looking for a VFX Artist to create rich visual effects that bring life to the game. As a VFX Artist, you will be expected to balance stunning visuals with readability during gameplay. You should be comfortable working in Unity or an equivalent game engine VFX tool. This is a remote position.
Responsibilities
Create rich and stunning visual effects that bring life and atmosphere to the gameplay.
Work with the concept artists & the Art Director to create special effects that are faithful to the stylization of the game.
Balance aesthetic visuals and gameplay clarity to ensure accurate and readable effects.
Display a seasoned comfort in character art pipelines.
Skill Expectations
Minimum of 3+ years of industry or related experience.
A Bachelor’s degree in digital art, fine arts, or a relevant curriculum or equivalent skillset.
Experience working in Unity, Unreal, or equivalent game engine VFX tools.
Excellent knowledge of shape language, and color theory.
Strong understanding of the art production pipeline for games.
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge and understanding of Unity.
Have experience with an entire production cycle and/or have shipped a AAA title.
